The Corporate Finance MBA course is one of the most talked-about and important courses in the framework of the MBA program.
Alongside typical MBA skills such as leadership development and career management, the corporate finance MBA course focuses on corporate finance principles, geared to an international audience. Complex financial techniques such as LBOs, options and derivatives are taught.
Students of the Corporate Finance MBA program are exposed to real-life world experience. Practical corporate financial consulting is done to gain experience. ACFIN MBA students, assigned to projects for consulting firms, will find themselves working in investment banks, public corporations and private companies. These institutions will give the students experience in analysis of problem areas for the engagement sponsors such as working capital management, evaluation of funding source, joint venture and strategic alliances, capital expenditure decisions, acquisition analysis, cost of capital and more.
In total, each class will be affiliated with 16-18 different financial institutions including corporations, firms and banks. Each student will work on 4-6 diverse financial projects during the academic year.
Corporate Finance MBA goals:
- To gear Corporate Finance MBA students into working directly in real-world corporate finance institutions and encounter real corporate financial problems.
- Students are encouraged to develop their skills in leadership, negotiation, presentation, problem solving, communication and teamwork through critical analysis of corporate finance situations.
- Corporate Finance MBA students are taught how to apply theory to practice. By using technical and theoretical financial tools and concepts to analyze unstructured instances, improve decision- making faculties and to create recommendations based upon their assessment of alternative means of action
