How Much Does an MBA Cost? |

Tuition Fees - The average cost for an MBA is between $80,000 and $130,000 for the two-year course. With MBA courses the more you pay, the greater the benefit. The more prestigious the school, the more expensive the tuition. This is one area where the brand name, or the name of the academic institution that you choose, will definitely make a difference, both in the type of education you receive and how potential employers perceive your degree.
Salary Loss
For one or two years, or as long as the course takes, you will not be earning full wages. MBA studies are not conducive to working, so there is not only the tuition and living expenses for the entire learning period, but also the foregone salary.
Travel Costs
Depending on where the school is situated, you may have to pay travel costs to attend. If you are not living on campus, there may be an underground, train, bus or other type of transportation. You may even feel the need to purchase a vehicle or share one with a fellow-student or roommate. Foreign students attending business school may have to undergo the cost of overseas travel in order to visit family from time to time as well.
Buying school supplies
Another expense at MBA School will be supplies. Life is easier when there is easy access to a computer, preferably a laptop. Your independence from the business school's computer system will make working on assignments much easier and more convenient. You can do them in the place of your choosing. Textbooks are a necessity and must also be purchased, at least one for each course. These books can sometimes be purchased second-hand or through the alumni, but you must pay attention to the version, since the courses are taught according to the latest update.
Other academic expenses:
Don't underestimate costs. A large amount of study materials, including software, can often be much more expensive than originally bargained for. Trips to companies, extracurricular academic activities and participation fees for professional student organizations all need to be taken into account.
Living expenses:
Depending on the individual's habits and the location of the school and lodgings, each student will make his budget. There are options of dormitories on campus or apartments with or without roommates. Staying close to schools with business links, that is, in close proximity to major business centers, may be pricey, but well worth the expense. Studying for an MBA in a foreign country is expensive; you need to factor in insurance, transportation expenses and restricted employment options. |
